LUFKIN EXTRUDER GEARBOX

Here we have a lufkin extruder gearbox in need of a full rebuild , we got the call late at night from one of our clients in the plastic fabrication business who needed there gearbox back ASAP. All of the gearing & shafts were damaged and none repairable So Power Gear Industries cut new double helical gears along with 2 new shafts we refurbished thrust bearing replaced all seals & bearings and was complete with a 6 hour full speed run test along with vibration Analysis keeping eye out for any leaking or over heating , after test procedure was successful we dropped off gearbox back to customer along with old parts as scrap in less then 72 hours , gearbox has been in production since 5 years now with no complication’s. please watch video below for work in progress.
